Ouzo shrimp pasta

Ingredient

20 whole shrimps *

500gr spaghetti

250gr passata

1 medium sized onion, finely chopped

3 garlic cloves, finely chopped or minced

1/3 cup olive oil

1/4 cup ouzo

salt, pepper

 

Method

Remove the heads and shells (or not depends on your preference) then devein but leave the tail for a better presentation. Add the olive oil in a large frying pan and place over medium-high heat. Sauté the onions, garlic and the rosemary, stir for 3-4 minutes and add the shrimp. Stir for a couple of minutes, until they get a nice color. Pour the ouzo and let them cook for 3 minutes, until the alcohol has evaporated. Remove the shrimps and set aside add the tomato passata stir until all liquids are combined. Meanwhile prepare the pasta but boil a minute or two less than what the package says. Now add the shrimps into the sauce and the pasta until it all combined and voila! Kali oreksi!
